  1. It looks like the one I had scurrying up my drive way in Los Osos awhile back… only they killed it because it ate one of the calves…

  2. Plenty of seagull nests/eggs on that rock.

  3. What a sight! Where’s Morro Rock? It’s actually a very beautiful picture with those handsome boulders.
And are those little dark spots behind the big onc, cubs?

  4. Morro Rock is in the harbor of Morro Bay, accessible by vehicle, although no climbing on The Rock is permitted anymore. It is a famous landmark to the city. I don’t think those are cubs. The news report this was attached to did not mention cubs. I imagine F&G are busy tranquilizing it and relocating it to a more isolated location. At least I hope.

  5. We’ll probably see it in our backyard in the Big Sur backcountry! Wouldn’t be the 1st time!

  6. Yup, that’s a fact, ma’am. I’ve still got the trailer one tore apart – even without any food in it!

  7. Big Sur back country is Bear backyard not ours

  8. …and he/she thought he was hiding! :) Eagle eyes, that’s what you are.

  9. I work at Morro Bay High School, they put us on lock down until he was tranquilized and asleep. Took him to the forest. We live in paradise on the central coast.
