Nature’s Oddities

This unusual pine is on my property. Why I never saw it before, and how it got this way is one of the many mysteries of Mother Nature and Big Sur. That’s why I am here.

  1. There is a Monterey Pine just like yours along 17 Mile Drive in PB.
    I always figured that somebody trained it like that when it was a seedling.
    The loop, being near the base would support that guess.
