  3. I feel so sorry for your loss. I have four dogs who I’m close too, and the inevitable, I will have to face at some point. I am grateful for the comfort they give.

There is a great quote by J.M. Barrie — ‘God gave us memory so that we might have roses in December.’

Whenever it’s cold, may you warm yourself with Gideon’s memories.

  10. Thank you, everyone. Today is hard, and tears await around every corner. I am lucky to have had Rock Knocker volunteer to handle this for me. The last time I took G to the vet, he was so miserable due to the long drive, couldn’t walk when we got there, and had to spend the night in order to be able to get back home. Today, he got to stay home and be laid to rest here. He will always be with me.

  19. We know the feeling having just lost our Magic. The rainbow bridge is EXACTLY how we view it… our pride of kitties are waiting for us and taking care of each other until we are all together. Your Gideon is surely there waiting for you but, if you are at all like us, his spirit stays around and watches over you until then. Our condolences

  21. Unconditional love, knowing us better than our human friends and waiting to lend a paw and a lick through good times and bad. Where would we be without them? I’ve got Bugsy…described as follows: “He knows more than you think…and thinks more than you know.”
Bugs and Karl offer a tip of the hat to Gideon, who enriched Kate’s days on a level that only those two would understand. He will rest in peace.
